Through the years 2008-2010, as I howled at the moon, I slept with my boots on and horse nearby. I wept tears of despair for what I had lost and joined in laughter with friends at what I had gained. I rode through thousands of miles of asphalt desert and found refuge in creative communities throughout the Middle West of America. Hope and joy in music and poetry nourished my soul, and I'm grateful to have shared it with all of those who were drawn, as was I, to the light of a small flame flickering in the wilderness. Through it all, I had the privilege of creating with amazing musicians and sharing the stage with many talented folks. Please sit down, rest a while, and let's share a poem or two before the dawn.
