Two men stood in a small dark room staring at a large screen, alive with movement and panic. People ran in every direction fighting for their lives. "There were not supposed to be any people there," one of the shadowed figures commented aloud. "This changes everything." He turned to walk away. "This changes nothing," the second dark figure snapped back, his sharp tone stopping the first man in his tracks. "But sir?" His voice genuinely worried about the well-being of the people they had seen on the screen. It went grey with fuzz. "But nothing colonel Gen. We wanted a test for our project and here we have it." "But sir we haven't planned for casualties." "Of course, not. And we don't need any." "Sir?" "There will be nothing left of the people in this little town in the middle of nowhere, no need to plan for casualties, no need for anything really." "And what about when that town is gone?" the man's soft tone replaced by anger. The second man's shadow turned to face colonel Gen. "You should remember your place, Gen." "It's colonel Gen. I know my place, and it's not here, killing innocent civilians." "Colonel Gen, look again at the personnel records of these so called innocent civilians of yours." "I already have... sir." "Yes, you have, and you should know that most of them are not innocent civilians. Most of them, in fact, are criminals." "You still have no right to murder them." "Trust me, Colonel Gen, no one will ever even know they're gone."
