This, indeed, as to the Root, newly taken out of the Ground is true; and therefore ลฟhould ลฟuch have their Germination ลฟtopt the ลฟooner: The approaching and prevailing Cold, both Maturing and Impregnating them; as does Heat the contrary, which now would but exhauลฟt them: But for thoลฟe other Eลฟculents and Herbs imploy'd in our Compoลฟition of Sallets, 72 the early Spring, and enลฟuing Months (till they begin to mount, and prepare to Seed) is certainly the moลฟt natural, and kindly Seaลฟon to collect and accommodate them for the Table.
