Adaptive polymers include those which are responsive to different stimuli, namely, physical, mechanical, chemical, biological and combined with controlled and/or predictable behaviors. Although other materials are not excluded, the textiles described mainly refer to those directly produced using adaptive/functional polymers. In addition to textiles, applications of such adaptive polymers will also include some popular areas such as medicine, healthcare and skin care.
