"I'm going to miss you this summer, sweet-ness." Aunt Uma, my favorite aunt in the entire world, said, as she and I made our way to LAX. "How-ever, I com-pletely under-stand, accept, and agree that a summer with your family and friends is some-thing that you deserve, need, and want.""Thank-fully, my directors and the people of my record comp-any agree with you, too." A few years later, I signed onto a wonder-ful and well respect-ed record label, and became a singer. Little had I known that I would win a plethora of awards for my music, too. Even though I love what I do in Los Angeles, I need a break from it, and some time with every-one that I love back in Denver.
