Ostracods are by a wide margin the most perplexing living beings considered inside the field of micropalaeontology. They are Metazoa and have a place with the Phylum Arthropoda (as trilobites), Class Crustacea (as lobsters and crabs). A significant distinctive component Ostracods share with different arthropods is the two-sided symmetry of their body structure.
