Tray and Carey Lennox are identical twins: Tray-an antiquities appraiser for the FBI Art Crime Team-trying to keep a deadly artifact out of the hands of an arms broker; Carey-a quirky NRC engineer, -hot on the trail of a nuclear saboteur. When Carey is gunned down in the Hamptons, Tray believes it's a case of mistaken identity and switches identities with his brother to flush out the killer. He discovers that investigating can be difficult without resources like his FBI connections, car, or credit cards, especially when his search takes him from the United States to Iran to France and culminates in Washington, DC, where a foreign industrialist threatens to use the ancient artifact to trigger a nuclear holocaust.
