This guiding book is written with the aim of improving the quality of intensive Care Unit, provide guidance and recommendations for the planning or renovation of ICUs with respect to the specific characteristics relevant to organizational, structural aspects, to ensure quality improvement program of the ICU service being given in the hospital by creating ICU operational policy, to promote an evidence-based, patient centered and cost-effective management plan for patients in ICUs. It also aid physicians and nursing staff in determining patient appropriateness for Adult ICU admission and discharge.
