Description

Biometric based systems has revolutionized today¿s hi technology market in areas like Passport offices, Ration Identification Cards, Voter Identification Cards, PAN cards etc. The explosive growth of technology has resulted in ¿skimming¿ and ¿eavesdropping¿. Two fundamental operations performed by a digital camera are image capturing and storing. In this book, an image is captured using a digital camera and image data is processed using MATLAB 8.2 which is given as an input to the VHDL code. Security code is developed using AES-128 (Advanced Encryption Standards) based on Rijndael algorithm. The complete security design is being to be developed using HDL and active HDL functional simulation was performed, then the design was synthesized using Xilinx-ISE. In this book, all the blocks of the security system are designed based on Rijndael algorithm.
