Description
Every year on the memorial day, August 13th, Sanja Milolo¿a, a Croatian writer and teacher of Croatian language at the Elementary School Jure Kätelan in Zagreb, publishes a book in memory of her late daughter, the artist Iva Milolo¿a. Iva (December 24th, 1994 - August 13th, 2020) died at the age of 25 from a rare form of cancer. Sanja, Iva's mother, also founded The Memorial Contest "Aorta of Sky" for the students of Iva's former high school, aiming to support future visual artists. This collection of lyrics called "Black Lullaby" is written in English and dedicated to Iva; they are intended for the music group Liliems. Three of the songs will be published on Liliems's debut album named "Potjeh" (a character from the fairy tale by Ivana Brli¿-Mäurani¿, the famous Croatian writer who wrote "The Stories from Long Ago"). The additional part of the book is in Croatian and, besides five songs, contains one interview with Iva and a text from the catalogue of Iva's second exhibition "The Stories from the Depth" in 2019, written by curator Magdalena Getaldi¿.
