Fourteen-year-old Luna Russell is a regular teenage girl with a regular life. Nothing special. At least, that's what she thinks. Unexpectedly, the Sun explodes and turns into a black hole, leaving Earth barren, its remaining plants dying. People must escape. Fast.

NASA comes up with a plan: build a spaceship. Escape. Find another hospitable planet. But nothing is ever that simple. Nothing. The crowded spaceship becomes a place to create new friendships, find new opportunities, and meet Death himself. As a deadly pandemic spreads across the spaceship, Luna finds herself stuck between her grief for her dying family and her will to stay alive. Can she survive?
