Doctor Arthur Winston, a distraught doctor hiding a dark secret is summoned from his hometown of Edinburgh to the remote isle of Blackstone, his summoner, his patient, Fredegar Goar. A reclusive elderly man who requested Dr. Winston for in home terminal care.
Upon his arrival to the isle, Winston finds Blackstone weathered in bad weather and suffocating fog and mystery, but its not until Winston glimpses figures roaming the manor grounds, that a creeping sense of unease begins to take hold, deepened by the reluctance of the two final servants to talk about the recent tragedies of the isle.
The further Winston explores, the further the horror spreads, from the mysterious Mephistophelian figures to the rising of the dead. Winston finds himself fighting to escape from Blackstone.
