He was forced into the war when he was only 17 years old and was sent into one of the last battles near the capital of Germany, Berlin. Thomas escaped death on numerous occasions, in ways that can only point to God, our heavenly Father.
Sabine, a city girl from the western city of Luedenscheid, had different experiences growing up in Hitler's Germany. The war surrounded her home town, with the Allies attacking. She, as well, escaped death in miraculous ways.
How did these two survivors meet?
This story is based on the lives of the author's own parents.
