Another look into my personal challenges, ideas, feelings, hopes, joys and dreams for balance, peace and blessings. My journey intersects deeply with mental illnesses, but I am learning that my focus on mental self care includes medication management, talk therapy, aromatherapy, music, poetry, spoken word, and art therapy as a whole. This portion of my journey reminds me so very much of those days of rehabilitation after I had a stroke at 10 years old. So much still needs to be done for individuals living with mental illnesses. My three favorite affirmations right now are Just Gotta Breathe, One Step, One Breath At A Time and Everyday Is Therapy Day. Enjoy. Advocate. Support.
