Description
This work analyzed the methods and techniques used in mathematical modeling of biological epidemics to the domain of information technology. It first introduces some simple models and analyses their characteristics. Then focuses a model representing computer virus epidemic in a network. Theoretical calculation of epidemic threshold has been done. All individual nodes or computers are classified into four classes- susceptible, exposed, infected and immunized. Changes of population of these four classes with time and with higher epidemic threshold are studied.
