Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Connect360 is a shareware application for Mac OS X, developed by Nullriver Software. It was first released on February 9, 2006. The application allows users to stream their iTunes music library, iPhoto photo library, and movies to their Xbox 360, similar to Windows Media Connect. Although unable to support Apple's DRM protected media, recent updates to Connect360 support QuickTime's H.264, MPEG-4, DivX and Xvid video at a maximum resolution of 1080p. The term shareware (also known as trialware or demoware) refers to proprietary software that is provided to users without payment on a trial basis and is often limited by any combination of functionality, availability or convenience. Shareware is often offered as a download from an Internet website or as a compact disc included with a periodical such as a newspaper or magazine. The rationale behind shareware is to give buyers the opportunity to use the program and judge its usefulness before purchasing a license for the full version of the software.
