A group of odd-looking women gather together next to a molten river of lava. They are used to its heat, some have been here for 100 years, others arrived just a few weeks ago. The smartest and slyest of them have devised a plan, a way to escape. But they lack the tools they need for success. So, they are all constantly on a membership drive. Seeking the one who might tie their stories together. Seeking the one who might carry with her the final piece needed for the miracle. They had found the new girl a few days ago. She had died in an airship crash...lots of arrivals that day so the grannies had overlooked her at first. She was such a quiet soul that it took far longer than it should have to find this one. The grannies could all sense something in her. A murmuring under whisper of promise echoed around her constantly. A promise that they all wanted to be real...so she now sits with them a little bewildered. They were all drawn to each other because they each have unfinished business. Things that need doing that may just get them out of this place. And this one, this one offers a way, she has the key. She is the key. Now, that finally one has joined them who would be the catalyst to get something done, they will be able to implement a plan.
