After a year-and-a-half of writing as a way to process and heal, Lisa Sanna turned the writings into her debut poetry collection. Divided into four parts, Dear You... is a collection of 177 poems about love, loss, healing, and trying to come into yourself again. The majority of the poems are written in a conversational and confessional style, and each section focuses on an overarching emotion that details the author's growing, stumbling, and ongoing transformation.

Dear You... sets about letting the author and reader know that it's ok to not be ok. It's ok to struggle with letting go, moving on, loving yourself, and with life in general. The collection is meant to represent the breaking and putting yourself back together- at all hours of the day. It also serves as a reminder that healing isn't linear, it doesn't happen overnight, and you shouldn't punish yourself for stumbling backward during the transformation.

Dear You... is for anyone who's struggled or struggling with their emotions, who's tried or trying to process difficult experiences and changes, and anyone healing- this collection is for everyone.

While the poems are from the author's perspective, she encourages readers to read her poetry and apply the pronoun(s) that fits them and their experiences.
