Amelia had a close relationship with him and she had spent a lot of time with him over the years. He taught her computer programming and had felt she was even better than he had ever been. Before his death, Grayson had confided in Amelia that the company he built was up to nefarious acts and he was going into witness protection with the FBI to testify against them. With his death, Amelia's world was shaken. Taking it upon herself to find out the truth about her godfather's death, she hacked Deimos and uncovered the truth. Deimos had murdered him.
