Cynical by nature, Eden is a stressed-out paramedic who wishes for a normal existence, alongside her police officer husband, Riley. They recently moved to the bustling, progressive, southern city of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. As an affirmed Agnostic, she believes in the strength of humanity and scientific proof, but she has progressively become more jaded by the world around her. Escalating media reports regarding natural disasters of unbelievable proportions, mounting tensions in the worlds' politics, and unexplained events occurring across the globe only make her cynicism grow stronger. Increasingly haunted by nightmares that begin to invade reality, Eden begins to encounter numerous, unsettling beings. Eden soon embarks on a quest to protect humanity, find herself and correct an action that spawned both the human race and its subsequent separation from God. A rogue band of misfits and modern day messiahs join together and are forced to face both Heaven and Hell for the rights to Earth. DESCENSION is dark, gritty, humorous and sometimes tragic. It is not for the faint of heart and is completely unapologetic; put in a way that some readers might find either enlightening, or disturbing.
