Description
Current approaches for knowledge retrieval in multipurpose knowledge repositories are inefficient. The inefficiency of knowledge retrieval approaches leads to lengthy and unsuccessful searches for users of multipurpose knowledge repositories. This research describes the Multipurpose Knowledge Repository Structuring method, which enables users of multipurpose knowledge repositories to retrieve knowledge more efficiently, thereby increasing the value of the stored knowledge. The method is compared to other methods by means of software prototype testing trials that show a gain in efficiency for end-users of the system.
