It's the story of a young man who takes advantage of public education in the United States, goes on to college where he earns two Master's degrees and provides for his family by teaching, advising and serving as a role model for countless young people in high schools and colleges in and around Fall River, MA. It is also a story that ends with the loss of his son, Makthra, in a tragic car accident. Thanks to supportive friends and family and a deep belief in the way of the Buddha, it ends with hope - and with a call to action to help provide water, a gift of life, to the people of Cambodia.
