Diagnostic pathology is an approach for the study of disease based on clinical and morphologic findings, symptoms, history and ancillary test results. Some of the techniques used in diagnostic pathology are radiography, urinalysis, necroscopy, microscopic examination of tissues, anatomical pathology and hematological tests. The investigation of a disease involves the diagnosis of markers for the disease with the use of methods and technologies that are specific to particular organs, tissue types and scales. Immunoserological techniques such as fluorescent antibody precipitation, ELISA, complement fixation and hemagglutination can measure antibody-antigen reactions.
