Description

DoomsDay Dan is a story steeped in nostalgia for simpler times. Times when honor, duty, and service were the threads woven into the fabric of society. It is also a story about how enduring friendships, the chaos and turmoil of war, and grief, can transform a person.

On a June evening in Lafayette Square Park, law enforcement forcefully cleared a group assembled to protest racial injustice. The police action left one man in a coma. Known as DoomsDay Dan, he made Lafayette Park his home, sleeping in a tent at night and protesting by day. His dissent was so prolific that he was considered the most famous of Lafayette Park protesters.

As doctors and nurses treat his injuries and wait for him to regain consciousness, they discover not all is as it appears with DoomsDay Dan. DoomsDay is a man with a complicated past. The patient they tend to served his country for over 3 decades, but after profound loss, rather than spiral into depression, he took action, making his voice heard in hopes someone would listen.

This is DoomsDay's story.
