So, the author, with her limited knowledge and experience, selects heart, as her subject of interest because in author¿s opinion, heart is the relatively better understood bio-electric system and also heart disease is one of the most common cause of death all over the world. Electrocardiography is an effective non-invasive diagnostic technique, which is widely used by cardiologists. Beats extracted from ECG signals can be categorized in a range of classes corresponding to various diseases. The book is focused to detect those abnormalities by automatic processing of heart signal.
