This paper talks about the Eclipse Foundation, an organization that works with development teams spread around the world. Given this it becomes interesting to know how the project management is done and how it is possible to deliver reliable products, quality and above all respecting the schedule of tasks. According to the Eclipse Foundation, it provides the global community of individuals and organizations with a mature, scalable and business-friendly environment for collaboration and innovation in Open Source software. At the end you will be able to visualize the organizational structure of the Eclipse Foundation, how communication is done between Members for decision making, the documents that govern the development of Eclipse Projects and the responsibilities of each Member, as well as the communication and development tools adopted for specific and group needs.
