Description

John Pickett, an umbrella corporation accountant, is outside the safety of the city walls in search of a treasure that will save his ex-girlfriend from a life of debt. A shadow organization is after his life--among others--and they've already killed his mentor. With danger around every corner, he'll need to keep his head down just to keep it between his shoulders. Kimberly Ampersand, a simple laundromat owner suddenly turned criminal, is running from the largest, most technologically advanced city in the empire. With nowhere to go, she finds herself swept up in the grand schemes of a man who seems to know far more than any one person should. With every glint of his eye, her life drifts closer to a point of no return. Omari Spitz, is a teenage pariah in search of a job. He goes to Legionnaire, only to be drawn into the looming black hold of destiny and forced to question what he wants out of life--Whatever that's supposed to mean. His new eidolon in tow, Omari heads willingly towards a life he never dreamed he'd have. All three are pieces of a puzzle that's as grand as time itself. Two forces are pulling the threads of their destinies, hinting at a clash of power so great that it threatens to reduce the world to ash. At every turn, the world is juggled between the men who wish to save it, and the man who only wants to see it burn.
