To celebrate their first anniversary, Holly and Logan can think of nothing more romantic and peaceful than a sail on the Sea Breeze to revisit Maui, their honeymoon spot. But despite their best intentions, things always have a way of heating up for private investigator Holly St. James and her handsome husband.

Logan's old buddy, Stump Tanner, is in the midst of renovating his sea-side bar. When Holly and Logan arrive, they find the renovations, and Stump's life, taken over by Anita Miller, one of Stump's four ex-wives. Holly suspects that Anita has her own agenda, especially when she sees Anita and the new bartender having a téte-á-téte when Anita is supposedly in bed with a migraine.

When Anita's dead body is subsequently found washed up on the beach, Holly and Logan realize that their vacation will have to be put on hold, yet again, until they can help to find the killer. Anita was obviously in over her head, and this time, it looks like Holly and Logan may be as well.
