Description
Amir Farzand is a Pakistani teenager living in Denmark. When his secret Danish girlfriend, Cathrine, decides they should move in together once they complete high school, it threatens the perfectly balanced life Amir has created for himself. A life in which he has both a loving relationship with his girlfriend, and a culturally Pakistani home-life with his family. As he tries to find a way to combine the opposing parts of his life, he comes to terms with himself as to what he really is.
Told from Amir's point of view, Farzand also follows the love lives of Amir's two best friends, Faisal, who is also a Pakistani, and Jens, who is Danish. Set in the fictional high school of Østerbro Gymnasium, Farzand discusses the different aspects of Amir's life in Copenhagen, while also following the course of Amir's final year in high school.
