This collection of poems tugs at the heartstrings, following the trajectory of relationships, interspersed with observations about the nature of things, Yousefi's history with sex, death, and his own upbringing, as well as occasional humor used to break literary tension and cope with personal issues.

Auseel Yousefi's vivid writing style and elaborate metaphors bring about intense positive and negative emotions for the sake of the readers' emotional understanding, even when the feelings described are foreign. It's safe to say that certain poems are not for the faint of heart, however therapeutic they may be.
