The story begins when they are offered the opportunity to complete a study of how perpetrators were able to disrupt some of the nation's fabrication industries in the shipbuilding, warehousing, and general metals fabrication industries with false material documentation.

Completion of the study is offered to the students for school credits to cover the courses they were forced to miss due to the forced sabbatical. To make things more complicated, the Federal Government classified the study as confidential.

While conducting the study, they uncover another more sinister terrorist plan to assassinate political figures through custom-built radio-controlled aircraft created from off-the-shelf components.

Balancing studies against the turbulent research into rogue RC drone activities, Hassan continues the pursuit of a Private Pilot's License and the love of a gorgeous engineering student from a neighboring school.
