Fuzzy System Approach for TCSC Based Controller Design Series compensation is a well established technology that is significantly used to reduce transfer reactances, most notably in bulk transmission corridors. The result is a significant increase in the transient and voltage stability in transmission systems. Transient and dynamic stability are very important to secure a smooth operation of power systems Facts devices with a suitable control strategy have the potential to significantly increase the system transient stability margin this allows increasing utilization of the existing network closer to its thermal loading capacity, and avoiding the need to construct new Transmission lines. Recent development of Power Electronics introduces the use of Flexible Ac Transmission(FACTS) controllers in power system Thyristor Controlled Series Compensator(TCSC) is one of the most important members of FACTs, in this book we explore the Fuzzy system Approach for TCSC Based Control Design using matlab with mathematical values obtained from Dubai Electricity Utility Network to improve stability and observing results this Technique can be applied to any utility network around the world.
