This is the story of Caroline Williams, a young African American woman in her late twenties who was always on the lookout for her Prince Charming but didn't quite know it until the day he accidentally landed at her doorstep. What followed was something she never quite could have been prepared for; a whirlwind romance that completely challenged her previous held perception of who she was. And changed her otherwise empty existence into a magical one, if only for a short while. This is also the story of Alfred, a thirty something African American lawyer who has a secret so ominous he cannot possibly share it with anyone else. When he meets Caroline he is not quite prepared for what comes next. Falling in love with a person is one thing but being so dangerously attached to them is yet another and it is after the passionate encounter with this young woman, that Alfred begins to question the very nature of the relationship that the two young lovers who were strangers only a few hours ago, have gotten themselves into inadvertently. This is a story of love but it is also a story of hope; that no matter how difficult the circumstances might be, there is always a silver lining to every gray cloud in a relationship. It also goes to show that no matter how brief a romance there might have been between two individuals, there always lies the promise of something 'more' than what one might have expected; that it is the intensity of the romance and not its duration, that is responsible for the final outcome of the relationship between two lovers.
