Skip ahead to 1693, and we pick up where book 2 left off with Captain Daniel Rogers, who begins a "relaxing" sea journey to the sunny clime of St Domingue. But this trip turns out anything but relaxing as Rogers once again finds himself in the middle of the brewing war between the spirits and humans in this third installment of the Gargoyle Journals series.
