With the vampire turf war in full swing, Dagon investigations is hired by the Summer faerie queen to investigate the destruction of villages along the border between the Summer and Winter courts. Fearing an increase in the unpleasantness which is plaguing Otherworld, refugee faeries start showing up at the newly designated Earth Faerie Sanctuary, which is overseen by Mebella, Dagon's girl friend. As the tension level rises in Otherworld, the queen of Summer is forced to make a hasty royal visit to Earth. Raids on the blood drug warehouses, combat with a sorceress, and the tracking down of a killer Succubus put a further strain on Dagon's limited resources. The kidnapping of Mebella during the Otherworld investigation prompts an over the top response from Dagon, which sets the stage for an almost successful attempt on their lives, which ultimately results in the destruction of an elf lords castle by 'The Death Hammer'. The Bone Collector, Silky the office faerie, Guff the Hobthrust, and Ashura the necromancer are new personalities who aid Dagon and Mebella in this new series of tumultuous events. And there is the Demon problem.
