Destitute in the desert, José is resigned to a life of solitude and poetry until one day the bank comes knocking. Left with almost nothing, José decides to honor his late Mama's wishes and travels to America to make it big. After a chance encounter with a television repairman in a saloon shootout, José and his new friend strike upon a million dollar idea: putting a sombrero and maracas on a cactus.
