Here, in this book, is a presentation of Keats's story: an account with pictures and in detail of his years as a medical student, his gift for friendship, his care for his brothers, and particularly for Tom whose death from tuberculosis preceded Keats's own, his walking tour to the English Lake District and into Scotland, his love, desperate, ecstatic and cut off by illness, and above all, his total and passionate commitment to poetry. Keats lived poetry: the reading of it, the writing of it.
