Lego Logo was a version of the Logo computer programming language which could manipulate robotic Lego bricks attached to a computer. It was implemented on the Apple II computing platform and was used in American grade schools in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Lego Logo was a precursor to LEGO Mindstorms. LOGO is a computer programming language used for functional programming. It is an adaptation and dialect of the Lisp language; some have called it Lisp without the parentheses. Today, it is known mainly for its turtle graphics, but it also has significant facilities for handling lists, files, I/O, and recursion.
