Description
For transmission and reception of the signal the antenna is a basic component of any communication device. In Government and Commercial applications like mobile or wireless communication, high performance aircrafts, satellites and missile applications, where cost, size, weight, performance are the constraints, low profile antennas such as Microstrip Antennas are used. The Microstrip Antenna (MSA) that we have designed can work with a wide band. Microstrip Antenna has many attractive features like low profile, light weight, small volume and low production cost. Log Periodic concept is used to enhance narrow bandwidth. Log Periodic Antenna has the important ability that it is frequency independent over a wide band of frequencies. This Antenna is a combination of both Log Periodic and Microstrip Antenna. The disadvantages of Log Periodic Antenna are eliminated by using Microstrip Antenna to achieve high gain, wide bandwidth and high directivity. This is the design of Microstrip Log Periodic Antenna (MPLA).
