Cali, one of the young apprentices charged with guarding the potchogs, decides that she will save the ceremony potchog from his fate. This rebellious act will lead her into an adventure that takes her and the young prince of Nimbus into great danger. Gradually Nimbus's deeper secret is revealed and their lives are threatened as they are chased by evil General Cutler and then beset by natural predators that inhabit the planet.
