The Island- One of the little islands off Brooklyn, New York City. It is controlled by the Mattingly Corporation and the contents of the research is unknown to most of the inhabitants. Old Navy- A worldwide once highly regarded genius at developing and maintaining security systems. He has experience in breaking down codes and limiting the possibility of corporate espionage. He has been given a chance to prove himself, to not only those who hired him despite his alcoholism, but to himself. Mike Wagner- A high school graduate football hero away from home for the first time and struggling with his own family issues as well as loneliness that comes from constantly being put on a pedestal from strangers. Webber Shattuck- An annoying young college student who does not make friends easily. He is an experienced summer help has an interesting dislike of Mike. Kimberly Day- Ceo of the Island project who fears that her career is in the hands of Old Navy. She did not want to hire him but realizes that will not be remembered by the Mattingly Corporation if he fails. She is also struggling as a single mom with two teenagers.
