This is the story of a man who was wounded in Holland during the war and returned to consciousness to find that his right arm and leg were paralysed and that he was unable to speak. After a long struggle he not only won back most of his powers of movement and speech, but began to read for the Bar. At the moment of triumph he was diagnosed as suffering from tuberculosis. Despite all this, he became a practising barrister and ended as a Judge.
