Nunzi is the story of a border collie's adventures. The dog grows up in a small town in northern New York, Wilkesville, and later moves to another small town, Cape Vincent, thirty miles away. As the story unfolds, Nunzi becomes involved with the local children on Nufus Street. He plays stickball with them in the position of center fielder. His compulsion to be with his human friends involves the border collie in many adventures, including protecting his friends from local bullies, nearly being thrown down a street drain by the same nefarious children, and getting acquainted with his owners' cat. Finally, when the Nilssons move to Cape Vincent, the dog discovers his real station in life as a herding dog. Instinctually, Nunzi protects and herds his owners' chickens. I wrote Nunzi to be a fast-paced novel without the onerous qualities that make many novels difficult to read and hard to enjoy. I hope that you enjoy this book.
