Sixteen-year-old Moonstone lives in California, or at least what is left of it.

A series of games, pitting two countries together, meant to test the mental, physical, and soul of an "OW" team, until all members of one country are dead. Only then can the opposing team be deemed the winner.

Moonstone and her twin have just aged into the draft, and although it is rare for someone so young to be drafted, somehow Moonstone finds herself competing for Team USA in the Olympic War. Now she must find a way to protect the ones she loves, make it out of the war alive, and keep her soul intact.

But when a series of unfortunate events leads to her discovering some dangerous secrets about the inner workings of the Olympic War, she soon learns she has a lot more enemies than the ones on the other side of the field.
