They form a mini book-club, reading A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens, and the woman begins to love the book, with the tale of two men both loving the same woman while society threatens to erupt into chaotic revolution.
Real life begins to mirror the scenes in the book, until the guillotine falls for the last time.
