Using mirrors, windows, lakes and puddles, these ethereal beings, the Outsiders, come through the reflections to occupy the bodies of unsuspecting humans.
The humans that are left are known as The Remainders and live in constant fear of being targeted by the 'capture squads' to round up those not already taken. As efficient as they are brutal, the capture Outsiders rarely failed to acquire targets.
Three years after the initial occupation, the paths of two determined individuals are destined to cross. Katie Harris, who never gave up hope that the darkness would end, and a new day would dawn.
