Right from the beginning, Pinocchio is full of mischief and naughtiness, and as he sets out to live his life, he encounters many adventures and mishaps, and gets into lots of trouble. Originally published under the title The Story of a Puppet in serial form in an Italian children's magazine called Giornale per i bambini, the story has become one of the most famous and beloved children's tales of all time. It has been adapted for film and television many times, and is the world's fourth most translated book.
