These internal attachments combine the functions of aesthetics, retention, support, stability and stress distribution elevating the standards of partial dentistry. This article highlights the importance , mechanism of action and planning for the attachments. There should be an effective communication between the lab technician and the prosthodontist as precision attachments are highly technique sensitive and any slight error could lead to disfunctioning of the prosthesis.
