Five generations have passed since OmegaFire spread over every continent, leaving only five cities intact. Ardora Prime comes of age in the aftermath of this apocalypse. Raised in the city founded by Dr. Gregory Jackson, her family has prospered safely in district 3, where the middle class graduates of the Academy of Highest Learning raise small families. As Arda approaches her graduation and her selection of career choice, strange encounters cause her to wonder if life is as beautiful as it appears. When war breaks out, Arda's asthma causes her to be the only member of her class to be unable to serve. She gains a plethora of career options, some with unprecedented benefits, but she chooses instead to join Project: R.E.D.D., an organization steeped in secrets. When a classmate and possible match is accused of treason at the end of the war, Arda is forced to either give them up, or protect them from the powers that be.
