The steps he takes to claim her, and the fall out from such, will set Psyche on a collision course with the gods, fighting not just for her life, but for a voice in a world that would silence her. This reimagining of the Greek myth of Cupid and Psyche challenges the traditional romantic interpretation and explores the silencing effect of violence within structures of power, asking readers to consider the ways in which the stories we choose create our truth.
